The Prom
The Prom is a contemporary musical comedy about acceptance, love, and the power of community. It follows four down-on-their-luck Broadway actors who travel to a small Indiana town after learning that a local high school has canceled its prom rather than allow a lesbian student, Emma, to attend with her girlfriend. Hoping to revive their careers with a good deed, the actors swoop in with flashy activism, but their self-serving motives clash with the town’s conservative values. Amid the chaos, Emma bravely stands up for herself, inspiring real change and showing that the prom is about more than just a dance—it’s about belonging. With energetic songs, sharp humor, and heartfelt moments, The Prom celebrates individuality, acceptance, and the joy of being true to yourself.
