Electric Internship

During my time as an electrics intern at Steppenwolf Theatre, I had the opportunity to work on two productions—Another Marriage and No Man’s Land. My responsibilities included assisting with the lighting hang and focus, which gave me valuable hands-on experience in the technical side of theatre production. Beyond the work itself, the internship was a chance to collaborate with an incredible group of people. I was fortunate to learn alongside Steppenwolf’s talented lighting team and to cross paths with artists such as Les Waters (No Man’s Land Director), Terry Kinney (Another Marriage Director), Jeff Perry, Judy Greer, Heather Gilbert (Lighting Designer Another Marriage), and Yi Zhao (Lighting Designer No Man’s Land). The experience not only strengthened my technical skills but also deepened my appreciation for the collaborative spirit that drives theatre at Steppenwolf.
